Age of the Heart

I invoke my soul’s true energy
to stand in authenticity

Where weakness, expressed….is strength
and my vulnerability, a shield

No limit to the mountain deep
Nor river high

I lift up every stone to seek
egolessness beneath

Innocence knows
but never realizes that fact

Courage dances fear
Out into the open

We sing the passage of days,
And the winding down of years

When it’s time to crack,
no glue, no bars, no claws
can hold her back

Now it is the age of the opening heart
Open sesame, the red seas part.
